April is finially here. Long awaited. The season is picking up, after a few drab months,
and our first guests are arriving.
Of course, with all the talk of recession, we were quite anxious about what to expect.
However, I must admit we are pleasantly surprised.
In October of last year we decided not to raise our prices, rather try to offer our guests
the best service possible. We are not a luxurious hotel, but we do keep up a standard of comfort, and what we feel is most important, to make our guests feel truly welcome and at home as much as possible.
What we have noticed as a change in bookings, as opposed to previous years, is a prolongation
of our guests stays.
In previous years, a guest would usualy stay a maximum of two to three nights.
Most guests seemed to plan their vacation in such a way as to see as much of the Dalmatian
coast as possible in a weeks time.
I always thought that was a pity, because each region, city, town has so much to offer and is specific in its cuture and sights worth seeing.
This year, however, most of our guests are making reservations for a week minimum.
Of course, that is great for us, and we are pleased that we will be able to show off our beautiful city and its vicinity.
